Sunday in Magic Kingdom

After a delay which was caused by Disney printing the wrong number if tickets for the band, we spent our first day in the Magic Kingdom.

Needless to say, we spontaneously joined a street dance party and Gabrielle loved seeing Cinderella's castle...we even saw Rapunzel's tower under construction.

We finished a very full day with some fireworks and a sleep-inducing shuttle ride back to the resort.

My favorite part of the day? When Aidan and Ellie said, "Thank you so much for everything you did for us today!" Totally made it all worth it.

Touchdown!

And we are safe in Orlando! Aside from me and Ellie suffering from descent-induced earaches, the flight was great. neither Aidan nor Gabrielle was scared about flying, which was a relief. in fact, they were downright giddy about being in the sky, looking out their window seats.

Now, we are boarding the Disney Magical Express, the bus that will take us to our lodgings at the Disney All Star Music Hotel.

Today, we hit up Magical Kingdom, unless the Park at capacity and we will do Animal Kingdom instead. Evidently, this us the busiest week of the year at Disney!

Disney Trip: PA Portion

We awoke at 1 am, arrived at Hughesville High School at 1:30 and headed to Philly via charter bus, with instructions to sleep. Of course, my seat mate, Gabrielle, informed me that her eyes were "just not sleepy yet" and it was at least an hour before she dozed off.

We arrived at the Philly airport with no problems and smoothly made it through security. We are now waiting to board our plane, with take off scheduled for 7 am.

The Polar Express

My high school drama classes went on tour again, and this year, we performed The Polar Express at both elementary schools in our district. The kids -- younger and older -- had a great time, and the shows went well.

"The bell still rings for me and for all who truly believe."
